“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
A lot of thinks already happened in our first week in the US. The journey was exhausting, especially for the kids. In the end, they could barely stand on their feet and we did it all only with the help of fellow passengers. At the end a police officer helped us with carrying the bags. We are thankful for the people who helped us.
At the destination airport we were picked up after 1 hour by our new friends. We only knew them by a short phone call about 2 days before. How awesome is this, they borrowed us a vehicle for the first week, even they don’t know us at all.
When calculating our costs for our training in the US, we haven’t been able to plan a car. However, we can say with joy that the Lord is wonderfully caring for us. There is a christian church in Pennsylvania (www.sgacma.org) whose service it is to provide vehicles to missionaries in the US. As all their family vans are currently lent out, God provided the necessary funds, to buy a nice car for us and they delivered the vehicle to us. And not only that, they also invited us to dinner. It is so great to see how the Lord provides for us. Every time we get into the car we have to smile in gratitude.
On our first day Christoph already had his appointment with the flight doctor and then flight training began. Everything went well in the beginning, but after 2 days his flight permission was withdrawn, because the TSA (Transport Security Authority) still needed documents. The processing lasted about 3 days and he could not continue with his flight training. In retrospect, Gods timing was as always perfect, because due to the rejection Christoph was able to complete the theoretical CPL and IR exams positive. Yeah!
Nina is out with the kids everyday. There is a large playground nearby and if the car is available, it is only a few minutes drive to the sea. It is not always easy in the unfamiliar environment alone with the children, especially in these hot temperatures, but Nina gives her best 🙂
See you soon!
